Please join us at Midtown Business Club’s Breakfast Briefing on 29^th September where Olympic and Birmingham 2022 Gold medallist Shona McCallin MBE will be on stage to discuss women’s sport in the UK and her experiences at Birmingham 2022. Joining Shona will be 400m runner Yasmin Liverpool, supported by the Midtown Business Club in 2020.

Midtown Business Club 2022 SportsAid Award recipient Jeriel Quainoo will also be joining the event to discuss how the Award has helped and his time at the U20 World Athletics Championships.

The event is open to all MBC Members and will be held at the offices of Hogan Lovells.

Shona McCallin MBE is an international hockey player who has represented both Team GB at Rio de Janeiro 2016 and Tokyo 2020, winning Gold and Bronze respectively. Shona has made over 100 combined international appearances and most recently won Gold with Team England at Birmingham 2022. Shona was supported by SportsAid in 2010.

Yasmin Liverpool is a 400m sprinter. She has competed for Team GB at European and World level. Her biggest aspiration is to compete at the Olympics (and win a medal!)

Jeriel Quainoo is 19 and from West London. Jeriel has been a professional sprinter for two years and his goal is to break into senior teams. Jeriel’s long-term goal is to compete at future Olympics and World Athletics U20 Championships and pave the way for future generations.

Tim Lawler MBE is Chief Executive Officer at SportsAid and Chair of the LTA Tennis Foundation.
