Get out, grab some steps and enjoy networking whilst perambulating historic Midtown. Welcome to NETWALKING, this year sponsored by Farebrother. It’s our seventh and always popular ‘Walk the Talk’ event, led by expert qualified Blue Badge guides.
This year our walk will be:
FROM MONKS, MEDICINE AND MARKETS TO MARX, MONEY AND THE METROPOLITAN LINE
We will pass by and learn about Ely Place, Fleet River, Smithfield market, St Bart’s the Great, Bart’s Hospital, Bartholomew Fair, Cloth Fair, Charterhouse, Farringdon station, St James’s, Clerk’s Well, and the Marx Memorial Library.
One of our guides will be Mark King, whose accolades include:
London Blue Badge & City of London Green Badge tourist guideLife Fellow, British Guild of Tourist Guides, 2021 Chairman, British Guild of Tourist Guides 2016-18
Come along to join us on this walk starting at a pub and of course ending at another, historic pub. Get your steps in on a hopefully beautiful first day of summer, and earn a refreshing drink at the end, sponsored by Farebrother.
About our host:
About Farebrother: Our independence as a real estate consultancy means that we have the integrity, agility and ingenuity to foresee market trends – then bring our clients a unique perspective that delivers the results they need. Rather than sell them something we think they want to hear. We like to hear stories about London’s Midtown – and we have a few to tell ourselves. Since Charles Farebrother founded our firm in 1799, we’ve contributed three Lord Mayors, successfully advised our clients through World Wars and recessions, and continued to transform London to this day. Our story is woven into the fabric of London, which is why we’re still shaping Londoners’ lives today.
