Address: Metro Bank, One Southampton Row, WC1B 5HA
Contribute to TfL's plans to improve access to Midtown's Holborn Station hub.
Access to Holborn Station is a barrier to Midtown’s growth. Passengers are often held outside the ticket gates for long periods at busy times. With demand set to increase as new jobs and homes in the area add an extra 30% of passengers to the evening peak, if TfL do nothing, the issue will worsen.
Hear and comment on TfL’s proposals to create a second entrance and exit to the station on Procter Street, install more escalators, deliver step-free access and provide more space to change between trains including an innovative use of the old Aldwych line station.
Our event will be one of the first opportunities to engage on TfL’s proposals.
About our host:
Metro Bank launched in July 2010 as the first new high street bank in more than 100 years. The revolutionary UK bank offers personal and business banking services, with a focus on providing unparalleled levels of customer service and convenience. In just under seven years it has grown to over one million business and personal accounts, across more than 48 stores.
Metro Bank was founded on a simple precept: offer the best customer experience, how, when and where the customer wants it. Stores are open seven days a week, 362 days a year, and customers benefit from a 24 hour contact centre based in London, as well as full internet banking services. Metro Bank is bringing back traditional retail banking, coupled with amazing technology and service. Its innovative approach has resulted in the bank being awarded the Technology Innovation Award by Microsoft as part of the Microsoft Dynamics Customer Excellence Awards Programme. In more recent news, they have been shortlisted for a whopping five awards at the 2017 Moneywise Customer Service Awards including Most Trusted Current Account Provider, Best Current Account Provider for Branch Service, Best Current Account Provider for Call Centre Service, Best Mobile Banking App and Most Trusted Savings and Cash Isa Provider.
As a champion of small business, each Metro Bank Store is run by a local bank manager able to make lending decisions on an individual case-by-case basis. SMEs also have their own relationship manager who understands their business and its needs, and can make use of Metro Bank SME Finance’s cash management solutions.
