Followship skills are as vital as leadership skills in determining team success
THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL
A MBC YPN Young Professionals Event
As a team member, young professionals play a vitally important individual and collective role in the success or otherwise of an organisation. If leaders are to be credited with setting the vision for the department or organisation and inspiring followers to action, then followers need to be credited with the work that is required to make their vision a reality, such as adding value to someone else’s decision, taking the initiative, developing the agility to thrive across the whole firm as well as developing the rapport and trust that works best with leaders. ‘Followership’ is an important area for us all. It helps explain outcomes.
Having served in Northern Ireland and three times in Iraq, Captain Anthony ‘Tony’ Harris was seriously injured in May 2009 by an IED in Afghanistan. He is one of the founding members of Race2Recovery, the world’s first disabled team to conquer the fearsome Dakar Rally. Tony has spoken to audiences of 10 to 10,000 on the areas critical to the success of teams and we’re delighted to welcome him as our keynote speaker.
As always, we’ll be book-ending the evening with the opportunity to make great, new contacts over a few drinks.
6 – 9.30 pm
