THE APPLICATION OF TECHNOLOGY IN THE ART WORLD
*Please note that this event is now over-subscribed*
We’re delighted to be offered private access to Collyer Bristow’s excellent in-house Gallery and hear art world insights from Jess Houlgrave, COO of Codex Protocol, who will describe the impacts of blockchain technology on the ownership of art and luxury assets. Specifically, Jess will discuss the opportunities to protect the provenance of art through the immutable and unfakeable ledger blockchain provides.
Codex Protocol is a decentralised registry for art and collectables backed by an industry consortium. Jess wrote her MA thesis on the applications of blockchain in the art ecosystem and has previously worked at Sotheby’s Auction House.
The Collyer Bristow Gallery is a bespoke gallery space with a dynamic exhibition programme. Within the legal world, Collyer Bristow has been championing emerging talent in contemporary art for over twenty five years.
As always, we’ll be book-ending the event with great networking and drinks. We hope you can join us for what will be a fascinating evening.
